When you're pregnant you feel so fat! You don't even want to go anywhere, but baby showers are so much fun! I'm not talking about the usual, putting the bows on a paper plate and making you wear this ridiculous hand made hat, or playing silly little word or board games (or should I say "bored" games). This is the 21st century. It's no longer only women going to a baby shower, these parties have become a lot more sophisticated than they used to be.

First of all my best friend Heather made amazing invitations on her computer using these baby girl shower verses, and emailed them to everyone we know. The party was incredible, not only did my husband come, so did everyone else's. I even brought my older children. Wine and cheese was served, I had juice of course, punch and cookies for the kids.

There were video and role-playing games for the older kids and we played parlor games until Madame Maria arrived. She was great! The Madame combined magician tricks, and balloon animals, which pleased all the kids, with hilarious crystal ball readings for the adults. She poked fun at every person over 18 in the room, except me of course, I'm the guest of honor, and had every one rolling with laughter. She even asked my husband who that blond he was with a week ago. My husband being the witty person he is quickly said "That was a doll I bought for our daughter, I swear." Everyone roared. We all had a blast, it was a party no one will ever forget! I definitely won't.

Silly little games, great food, good company and best wishes for a happy little baby girl. It's great to be surrounded by all your friends, your family and having a blast with exceptional entertainment. Of course since we know we were having a girl there was the pink and white decorations that were very appropriate for the occasion, and we got all the necessary little girl clothes, bottles, cribs, maternity clothes and even some things just for me and my man. There's nothing like a 21st century baby shower very much like the party in these baby girl shower verses that you see above.
