I See
I see fancy paper storks
With flapping wings above
Some little tiny footprints
Drawn so carefully with love.
I see a length of tape just there
So we can truly measure
Just how big your belly is
(It holds your little treasure!)
I see little baby bottles
Made of candy, too,
Hooray, hooray! Now let’s all cheer!
A shower just for you!

When I was pregnant with my daughter Gabriela, my best friend Andra shared this baby poem with me at my baby shower. I loved it so much, that I read it out loud at the shower. We all agreed the poem was so adorable and cute.
Those footprints that Andra mentions in the first verse were actually very real. The night before the shower a bunch of us were decorating my house with all these pink decorations. We made most of them ourselves, so that was fun. My favourite were these baby footprints that we taped all over the walls in the basement.
The baby shower favors were really cool. We filled these little baby bottles with assorted candles, just like she mentions in the poem. She also wrote a nice little poem titled, little trinket, that we attached to each favor
It was around midnight when we finished decorating the basement with all these unique and wonderful baby decorations. I remember, we were all so tired. What amazes me was that Andra still had the energy to write the poem when she got home so late.
Even though it was very late, and she was exhausted, she was still able to come up with a very nice baby shower poem.
Well thank you for visiting our baby poems for baby shower page, and we hope you have fun at the baby shower.
Your friend,
Heather Greer
