We wish you well,
On your special day,
And will be here for you,
Come what may.

You’ll be starting a journey,
Once your baby arrives,
And it will have an effect,
On all of our lives.

And so we wish you the best,
You are the woman of the hour,

When I was at home on maternity leave I had all the time in the world to flip through baby magazines and watch "the baby story". There were many times when I would see these women that would keep everything from every step of their pregnancy. Although I thought I will not be having a baby shower. When I realized this I knew that I would never be one of those crazy mom's to be.

I thought I would not fuss over the silly things and place so much emphasis on the baby shower. Well let me tell you that when I found out that I was having a shower I almost became a shoerzilla.

I would not overlook any detail, no matter how small it was. And when I had a close friend talk to me about just sitting back and enjoying the special day. I was glad that she did because it was only then that I realized how special and beautiful this day was. I even kept some of the balloons from the shower as a keepsake.
