Share Our Joy
It's a boy, we're glad to say!
He's here, and he was born today!
He's just as cute as he can be
We'd love for you to come and see!
He's perfect from his head to toes,
His chubby cheeks and button nose,
All ten fingers counted, too,
And we love him through and through.
It will be fun to celebrate,
We think that it will be just great.
So come along and share our joy,
And see our little baby boy!

Having a baby is one thing, however, having a boy with a family full of girls is another. On my husband's side all of his brother's had girls actually there were 15 in total, that is until we had our son Jacob.
I remember being asked by some family member if I was going to find out what I was having and I just responded by saying probably not because I was 100% sure that I was having a girl, it actually felt like it was tradition in this family to have a little girL. I even went as far as buying a couple of outfits for a girl.
Well was I ever surprise when I gave birth to a 10lbs 2oz baby boy. My husband and I did not even have a boy name we called our little son "baby" for the first week of his life. We were just so happy that he was completely healthy.
When I told Andra that it was a boy, she was so happy for us that she wrote this poem. I really like this birth poem, I actually emailed it to all my friends and relatives as soon as I was released from the hospital. I think it's a wonderful poem, and you are welcome to share it with your friends and family.
Yours Truly,
Cynthia Cook
