In this free baby boy poem, "Just Like Dad", touches on the hopes and dreams of all fathers everywhere, that their sons will be the little buddy they've always wanted. Taking them to sporting events, playing sports with them, having a helper in the workshop, or when they work on the car. Or maybe just becoming a computer nerd like their dad and be able to teach them video games, cards or board games.
They hope that when their son grows up, he'll follow in dad's footsteps and be just like him. Now if it doesn't happen, most dads are just happy if their son makes them proud.
How many times have you heard, "He looks just like his dad?" possibly everyday. Now we all know our sons don't always look just like dad, because if you look real close you can see your own features, your dad's, your mom's, your son's father's parents, a brother, uncle or possibly the great grandparents in the face of your son.
But when you see the proud look on dad's face every time someone says this, you just reply "Yes he does, he's going to grow up to be a good looking man." You think about the fantastic bond they'll experience, just as it describes in this free baby boy poem.
I'm sure you can envision the joy that will come as you watch father and son play, how the little guy falls trying to run for the first time. It's so much fun laughing at the ball bouncing off his chest and the expression of surprise. Let's not forget how much fun it will be to play water games with squirt guns and the water hose.
Can you imagine how proud you will be when your son accomplishes catching a ball, connecting the bat to a baseball the first time and the confidence that builds, or when he learns to use a computer program his dad is teaching him. As your son grows, you hope that dad and son will be great friends, be able to share what is important in their lives to form a strong father and son bond.
