Labor Pains

Though your baby isn’t here yet,
Your friends will surely be,
And of course, we’re bringing presents,
But you’ll have to wait and see!

Not only will we celebrate,
Your beautiful baby-to-be,
But we’re also celebrating YOU,
With laughter and praise and glee!

So plop down on the nearest couch,
And let us take the reigns,
We’ll play games and tell you stories,
About your coming labor pains!

I really like the last verse of this poem. It's actually quite funny. I love the labor pains part.

My cousin, Elizabeth, is having a baby shower in about two weeks, and I plan on including this one inside the baby shower card.

I'm pretty sure that she will enjoy it. Especially since she has a very good sense of humor. This is her first pregancy, so we are so excited for her and her husband Tim. Who is a fantastic husband, I must say, he's always helping her around the house.

Elizabeth is such a sweet lady. She's always cheerful and happy. We have grown a lot closer over the past 6 months. I have been sharing my pregnancy experiences and advice with her. While she showed her gratitude and appreciation by writing me a very nice letter.

I would really like to share this letter with you, because I believe it contains some important things that all mothers to be should know. But before I post it, I will need to ask whether it's ok with her.

So if you have a close friend or cousin like Elizabeth, share these free baby shower poems with her. She will love them.

Your Friend,
Heather Greer
