New Baby Sayings

Sometimes all it takes is a few new baby sayings and verses to clear your mind and hope for the best for your baby and the your future together.

We Hope

We hope you like the crib we chose,
We hope you like your things,
We hope you like your lullabies,
And we hope you like your dreams.

We hope you’ll like it, living here,
We hope that you’ll have fun,
We hope that you will love to play,
And we hope that you will run.

We hope that you will love to laugh,
You'll find that we all do,
And we hope that you'll love us even half as much,
As you’ll find that we love you.

When we were expecting, I remember thinking to myself that I did not know how to be a mother and how would I know if I am doing things right. Reading books on parenting was something I did throughout my pregnancy. I would read in the morning while eating breakfast. I would read during my lunch hour and anytime I had time on the train ride home from work.

Everything I read I would recite to my husband and then we would discuss the way we would do things. Except, there were always those thoughts of what if that was not the way things were to be done.

I remember going to pick out the furniture for our son's nursery and I thought to myself, what if he does not like it. Then I remember reading something in one of my parenting books that talked about new parents could try and do everything to prepare for the new baby. But once the baby arrives nothing would be predictable other then that the baby would want to sleep, eat and poop.

The rest of the things that new parents worry about would happen randomly. The worrying part would reach its peak once something actually happened. In the meantime I knew that the only thing I could do was hope that everything would be just fine.

I think it's important to have a very positve attitude when it comes to these things. For me, new baby sayings are some of these little things that help clear my mind and think with the right attitude.

Yours Truly,
Cynthia Cook
