Poems For A Baby Shower
You will find many different types of poems for a baby shower on these pages. Take a look at the one below that focuses on the mother to be.
You’re The Star
You cannot really float on a cloud,
But we’ll make you think you are,
We’re having a baby shower here,
And you, new mommy, are the star!
We’re going to play lots of games,
Like "Pin the Tail on the Dad,"
He isn’t invited to the shower,
So he can’t possibly get mad!
We’ll give you gifts and laugh with you,
And even serve you food.
And all of this, we hope, dear friend,
Will put you in a great mood!

I think it's very important to make the hostess feel very special at her baby shower. All the girls need to go out of their way to make her feel like a queen, or like a star, like the poem implies.
That's exactly what this poem talks about. All the attention should be on the mother to be. This makes sense, because it is her day. It's not only a celebration of the baby in her tummy, but also a celebration of the pregnancy and it's progression.
Some of the other baby shower poems on this site talk about the unborn baby and the various baby gift options. But Andra made sure this one focuses on the mom.
I haven't used it yet. But I definitely plan on sharing it with one of my friends at a future baby shower. The good thing is that Andra wrote a good variety of these poems for a baby shower. So we don't have to worry about running out anytime soon. She's always writing new ones, so I'm sure we won't have to recycle any poems.

Heather Greer
