You have stumbled upon our welcome new baby poems page. The featured poem talks about welcoming your newborn baby into your life.
Our Love
Hello there, newborn baby,
Your world beyond awaits!
A fresh new crib, a teddy bear,
And lots of baby gates!
We’ve thought of everything, you see,
We've left no stone unturned,
We’ve even bought you books to read,
For when you’ve finally learned.
We got you lots of blocks and things,
And even a baseball glove,
But the most important thing we’ve done,
Is spared no bit of our love.

I remember my husband and I had a list of things that we needed for the baby. After going through the list and what felt like a million times we decided to make the big leap and venture out to Babies r us to sign up for the registry.
Walking into the baby section of what seemed like it was equipped with every possible item needed for a baby. We were feeling a bit overwhelmed. Having that little scanner in our hands I think we scanned just about every item in the store. After we left I was looking through the list and I thought to myself that I really do not need two breast pumps (one for home and one for travel).
I also started to second guess our judgement as parents. I mean if we could not pick out the basic things our baby would need then how could we possibly have good judgement as parents on raising a child? My husband kind of found the whole experience amusing and reminded me that the things we picked out for the baby are fine.
He said that at the end of the day the most important thing that our baby will need we already have. I looked at him with a puzzled grin and asked him what that was and he smiled at me and responded by saying "the baby already has our love".
I also think that welcome new baby poems are very cute. Thank you Andra for writing them.
Yours Truly,
Cynthia Cook
